Business Areas - Human Resource Black & Decker’s Human Resources Team for Europe, Middle East and Africa(EMEA), is responsible for approximately 3,500 employees within our commercial, manufacturing and engineering operations.Human Resources is the organisational development engine of the business. Our goal - to help make Black & Decker more competitive, improving business effectiveness and employee development. HR works closely with the business areas it supports, helping to recruit the best people, and gaining recognition as experts and advisors in our field. We put in place efficient processes and offer tools to enable the business to find its own solutions. Key activities include Organisational Development, Learning and Development, Compensations & Benefits, Recruitment, Internal Communications and Legal Compliance |
An exciting initiative, reflecting our Learning and Development commitment, is the opening of a dedicated UK training centre, emulating our US-based "Black & Decker University" and called "BDU-Europe". There are additional facilities in Dubai and Germany. The BDU facility structures a curriculum tailored to individual and business needs. It is fully equipped with the tools to deliver first-class learning and training experiences. EMEA HR roles are based within our European Headquarters in the UK, as well as at a local country level. The team is structured as a “matrix”, which means that responsibilities exist at a local operational level, (e.g. as HR Manager within the Iberia Office), or on a broader more strategic level, (i.e. supporting a functional area of the business across all geographies). Working within HR at Black & Decker, you are part of a highly supportive, knowledgeable network of HR professionals. |
