A Week in the life of... James is an End User Specialist. He covers a territory spanning central London and parts of Middlesex. As a recent graduate wanting a career in marketing, I never thought about power tools and had no idea about what working as an End User Specialist was all about. I now realise that as well as essentially marketing the DEWALT Brand, the role is a unique way to develop an understanding of the company, the products and the market in which we operate. It is an excellent springboard to future progression. An important aspect for me in my career choice was the company and the culture. Black & Decker is truly global and a great name to have on your CV. DEWALT is a premium Brand - a market leader in performance and innovation. |
I’ve had a great time since joining the company. No two days are ever the same, you are never bored and there are always new projects and events on the horizon. The End User Team is great. There are about 20 of us – many of whom graduated in the last couple of years. We meet up regularly and offer each other real support. If you are looking for a role which gives you the opportunity to use your initiative, work as part of a strong like-minded team and is definately not a 9 to 5 desk job, you should certainly consider the End User Specialist position with DEWALT. Take a look at a snapshot of my working week – not typical – no week is ever the same and I don’t always work Saturdays! It is however, the varied and challenging activities the role brings with it, that I thrive on! |
