We are seeking an exceptional and committed individual to join us as Head of Policy, Strategy and Performance. This is a key role at the heart of Thurrock Council’s new central functions. We are looking for an exceptional leader with strong experience in local government who can elevate the strategy and policy functions within the organisation to provide support and challenge to our senior leadership team and political leadership to drive high performance during the next stage of our recovery.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape our new teams where you will lead:
- the delivery and implementation of our Corporate Plan and shaping an operating model that is fit to deliver these objectives in the future.
- the building our new strategy and policy function, you will ensure that the Council is forward thinking and responsive to the wider policy landscape, horizon scanning to ensure Thurrock are developing leading and innovative policy that is at the forefront of the sector.
- the development, delivery and maintenance of an ongoing performance management and accountability framework.
Salary: £71,193 - £82,275 per annum
