We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our established registered care services in Milton Keynes.

You’ll be working across 3 of our vibrant homes, offering a diverse and rewarding leadership experience. Supporting adults with learning disabilities, where every day is different, and the people we support lead rich and fulfilling lives shaped by their own unique interests and personalities.

This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), and includes weekend working as part of your rota. You’ll also be part of our local area on-call team to ensure consistent leadership support across our services.

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager, supporting and empowering a dedicated staff team who provide 24/7 support.

You’ll provide visible, active leadership across shifts, coaching, mentoring and developing your team to deliver outstanding support. You will help keep our services fresh, creative and person-centred, in line with our vision that everyone should live a life that makes sense to them. You’ll also build strong, collaborative relationships with families, professionals and the local community, drawing on your team’s strengths and passions to promote our ‘Everyone Everywhere’ initiatives.

You will lead on supervisions and appraisals, supporting the ongoing development of your team, and work closely with the wider Milton Keynes management team, with the support of our local admin team.

You must be a driver with a UK manual driving licence as you will be driving the service vehicle.

*Skeleton shifts are 07:30-15:00 (early) and 14:30 – 22:00 (late) but work times may vary to suit the needs of the people who draw on our support.

About you

You'll be someone who can see the bigger picture and have the visionary skill to be able to help develop the service further.

You must have supervisory experience within the social care sector, understanding the intricacies and challenges involved.

You will need to be flexible and organised, with a positive approach. Attention to detail, and good Microsoft Word and Excel skills would also be beneficial.

You must be a driver with a manual licence, as you will be driving service vehicles.
