Senior Support Worker
Senior Support Worker
Job Description
Join Our Team as a Senior Support Worker – Make Every Day Matter
Are you ready to take the next step in your career with a supportive and well-established team? At MacIntyre, we're looking for a Senior Support Worker to help lead a large, vibrant service where no two days are ever the same.
This is more than just a job. It’s a chance to shape lives, lead by example, and develop your own skills in a role full of variety and purpose.
About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you'll take on a key leadership role within the team. Alongside your day-to-day support duties, you'll be responsible for:
Leading staff handovers and supervising team members
Supporting new colleagues through inductions and mentoring
Carrying out compliance checks and following up on any issues
Working closely with the wider team to ensure high-quality, person-centred support
Coaching your team and identifying training needs, both formally and informally
Collaborating with fellow Senior Support Workers and the Registered Manager to ensure smooth and effective service delivery
You’ll act as a role model, ensuring the people we support are empowered to live lives that make sense to them, in line with MacIntyre’s values and vision.
Where You’ll Be Working
You’ll be based at a busy, engaging residential service that up to 34 people call home. The individuals we support live in self-contained flats with access to shared communal areas that encourage socialising and connection. Everyone has different needs, abilities and interests, so no two days are the same — and meaningful engagement is at the heart of everything we do.
Working Hours
You’ll work on a rota basis, including days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, sharing responsibility across the team to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
Why Join Us?
This is a genuine opportunity to grow within a respected and forward-thinking organisation. Whether you're already in a senior role or ready to take that next step, you'll be supported every step of the way.
At MacIntyre, we're passionate about our people – the ones we support and the ones we work alongside. Join us and be part of something that truly matters.
Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship as we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. We appreciate your understanding.
