Senior Support Worker
Senior Support Worker
Job Description
If You Love What You Do, Why Not Lead It?
You already make a difference every day. Now it’s time to take the next step.
At MacIntyre, we’re looking for someone who’s ready to turn their passion for supporting others into leadership. If you’re a Support Worker with the drive to inspire your team, guide others, and keep growing, this could be your next move.
About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll still be hands-on, supporting people to live meaningful, independent lives – but you’ll also have the chance to step into a leadership role. You’ll be the person your team looks to for guidance, motivation and positivity.
You’ll:
Lead team handovers and day-to-day support
Mentor new colleagues and help them build confidence in their roles
Carry out key checks to ensure quality and consistency
Encourage your team, recognise their strengths, and nurture their development
Work closely with your fellow Seniors and Registered Manager to build a happy, supportive environment where everyone can thrive
It’s a role where you’ll keep doing what you love – while developing new skills, new confidence, and a new level of impact.
Where You’ll Work
You’ll join a lively residential service that over 34 people call home. Each person has their own flat and shared communal spaces designed for connection, laughter and belonging. Every day brings something different – and always something meaningful.
Working Hours
You’ll work on a rota basis including days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays, sharing responsibility across a supportive, balanced team.
Why Join MacIntyre?
We don’t just talk about development – we make it happen. You’ll have access to:
Tailored leadership and training programmes
Ongoing coaching and mentoring
Real opportunities to progress and shape your career
At MacIntyre, we’re proud to support people to live lives that make sense to them – and that includes you.
You already care. You already lead by example. Now’s the time to make it official. Apply today.
Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorship as we await further guidance from the Home Office. Applications requiring sponsorship cannot be considered at this time. We appreciate your understanding.
