Shaftesbury Millie College is an independent specialist college for students aged 16 to 25 with a range of learning and physical disabilities.
It is a one-of-a-kind work environment, set on a 350-acre countryside site near Poole, Dorset. The college’s curriculum is directly aligned to its natural environment and the enterprise activities that operate there, including animal care, catering and retail, conservation and horticulture.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and organised Administration Officer to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the welcoming face of Millie College and will provide essential clerical and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of college operations. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, detail oriented, and committed to maintaining a positive and productive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
To provide clerical and administrative support to professionals across Millie College, ensuring the smooth-running of the provision.
Support the Transitions activities of Millie College, under direction from the Admin Team Leader (Admissions).
Support the collation, processing and submission of student data sets for Millie College (ILR) to the Department for Education.
Support the Annual Review system; booking meetings, sharing documents and facilitating the process with families and external stakeholders.
Personal Development:
You will be encouraged to participate in relevant training, meetings, and events, supporting your professional growth through a Personal Development Plan.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent MS Office and IT skills. Experience using information management systems would be advantageous.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic setting.
Prior experience in administrative support, preferably in an educational or healthcare environment.
