Looking for a role where you can make a difference and really shine? Our fabulous #TeamWestDunCS in Dumbarton is on the lookout for a caring and motivated male* colleague to them as a Support Practitioner on a permanent part-time (up to 30 hours per week) basis.

The Role and The People We Suport

You'll become part of one of our fun, friendly and dedicated teams who provide support individuals with various support needs within their own homes. There's never a dull moment, every day is different!

As a Support Practitioner, you'll support and assist the people we support with all aspects of daily living, including cooking and preparing meals, personal care, administering medication and managing personal finances.

The gentleman you will be supporting has a particular interest in comic books and going to the cinema to see the latest films! When not out at the gym or int he community, they enjoy relax by listening to music or watching TV. With your guidance and support, you'll help the people we support to maintain their own homes and be an active member of their local community.

About You

You don't need previous experience in care as a Support Worker or qualifications to start your career with us, we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) and SSSC yearly registration fees too!

What we'll need you to bring;

  • A positive approach to learning
  • An understanding of the importance of routines and following guidelines
  • Confidence in the use of computers

It would be great if you had a full UK manual drivers licence with 1 years experience on the roads but this isn't a deal breaker.

Shift Patterns

We offer support 5 days a week (Monday to Friday), usually between 9am-5pm, although there are a few earlier/later supports. Support may be needed on the occasional Saturday also.
