About You
At Cornerstone we don’t recruit on experience and qualifications. We’re more interested in what you as a person will bring to our team! We’ll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you’ll need to build a career within the Health & Social Care sector. We’ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too!
All we'll need you to bring is;
- Good listening and communication skills
- A caring attitude and approach
- A positive approach to learning
- An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines
- The ability to cook (baking would be a bonus too!)
Being a Support Practitioner
The great thing about this job is that two days are never the same. As a Support Practitioner you'll provide care and support with all elements of normal every day living, including cooking, housework, finances, personal care and medication.
You'll also play a huge part in supporting individuals to reach their goals and play an active part in their local community. Some of their hobbies and interests include baking, arts & crafts, hair & beauty treatments, pool, model trains & boats, walking, swimming & attending social events and concerts.
Shift Patterns
Our services provide support 24 hours, 7 days a week, so shift patterns will include early mornings, days, evenings and weekends. Weekend, public holidays, sleepovers and/or waking nights may also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
