We're looking for an experienced and passionate Service Lead to join us on a permanent, full-time basis (39 hours per week).
As Service Lead, you’ll play a key role in leading our largest Housing Support service in Peterhead.
Working as part of a supportive management team, you’ll provide strong leadership, coaching and direction to your team, ensuring the people we support receive consistently high-quality, person-centred support.
Reporting to our Associate Director, you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Lead and develop a dedicated team of Lead Practitioners and Support Practitioners
- Drive continuous improvement across the service
- Promote a culture of high-quality, person-centred support
- Ensure the people we support are empowered to achieve their goals, develop their independence and live the life they choose
- Work collaboratively with other Service Leads and Lead Practitioners within the branch to share learning and best practice
- Build positive relationships with colleagues, families, professionals and the wider community
- Take on Registered Manager responsibilities, providing an opportunity to further develop your leadership experience
This is a role where your leadership will have a direct and meaningful impact.
Our purpose-built facility in Peterhead, supports 11 people with learning disabilities, each living in their own self-contained flat.
You’ll join an established, fully staffed team who share a passion for providing excellent support; helping the people we support get the most out of life.

You’ll have:
- A genuine passion for person-centred care and support
- Experience of leading, supporting or developing teams within Health & Social Care
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A positive, solution-focused approach to challenges
- The confidence to make decisions and work independently
- The ability to motivate others and create a positive team culture
- Strong organisational, planning and time-management skills
- Confidence using IT and maintaining accurate records
- The flexibility to respond effectively to changing circumstances
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
As Service Lead, you’ll help your team to deliver excellent outcomes while ensuring the service continues to improve, grow and evolve.
Qualifications
Ideally, you’ll already hold SCQF Level 9 and a PDA in Management, but we won’t let that stop us from hearing from the right person.
We’re committed to investing in our people and supporting you to achieve the qualifications required by the SSSC. Through our Training Academy, we’ll help you develop the skills and fund the qualifications you need to succeed.

Working pattern
This is an off-rota leadership role, with working hours typically Monday to Friday.
As you’ll be leading a busy service, there may be occasions when you’ll need to work evenings or weekends in response to service needs. You’ll also participate in rotational on-call duties.
