The role and the people you’ll support

You’ll support two brilliant brothers with an autism diagnosis in their shared home, helping them enjoy everyday life, build independence and achieve their goals.

The brothers enjoy watching their favourite TV shows, playing video games and having plenty of fun with the occasional prank! We’re looking for someone who will take the time to get to know them, discover what they enjoy and build a genuine relationship with them.

Most importantly, you’ll take the time to learn about their interests, respect their home and routines, and build genuine, positive relationships with both brothers.

Together, you’ll help the brothers to:

About you

Although it would be great if you do have experience in care, it's not essential as we recruit on values and transferable skills. We’re looking for people who are enthusiastic, creative and willing to get involved in the things they enjoy.

What we'll need you to bring: -

  • Good, clear communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • A caring attitude
  • Respect for boundaries and people's homes
  • A positive approach to learning
  • An understanding of the importance of routines and following guidelines
  • Confidence in the use of computers


The brothers have barriers to their communication, so it's essential that you bring an excellent grasp of the English language.

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing the best support that is tailored to the needs of each individual, these opportunities will involve working early mornings, days and evenings. Waking nights, weekends and public holidays would also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

Waking night shifts are paid at your normal hourly rate, plus an additional payment of £20 per night.
