We are looking a friendly, reliable peripatetic Support Worker to join our team in Glasgow for 30 hours per week. The current salary is £9.50 per hour with a pay award pending of £10.02 per hour.
Our Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire branch provides support to around 130 adults and children of all ages. The people we support have a variety of complex health and support needs, including learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism, dementia. Our aim is to enable the people we support to live a fulfilling, valued life where they can achieve their own personal goals and aspirations. This is a peripatetic role based across several services.
As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting these individuals with all aspects of daily living, including personal care, assisting with medication and managing their finances. You will support them to do the things they want to do in the community and support them to build upon their independent living skills at home. Our teams adopt a person-centered approach to provide the highest quality support to enable the people we support to achieve their goals and aspirations.
We are looking for people with a real passion to build relationships and positively impact the lives of the people we support. So, whilst it would be beneficial if you have experience in a similar role, this is not essential. What’s most important to us is that you can demonstrate the right values and attitude to make a difference. You’ll receive all the training and support you need through our award-winning Training Academy, including the opportunity to complete a fully funded SVQ qualification.
As travel will be required throughout Glasgow, it is preferable that you hold a full, clean UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle. However, this is not essential.

This is a peripatetic role based across several different services so the shift patterns will be varied, starting as early as 7.00 am and finishing as late as 11.00 pm.
You will be expected to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and public holidays as part of your rota. Waking nights are paid at your normal hourly rate plus an agreed standard waking night payment of £20.00 per night. Sleepovers are not included in your contracted hours and you’ll receive an additional sleepover payment of between £76.00 to £95.00 per night, depending on the needs of the service.

If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be expected to join the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and must be willing to work towards a SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare as required for SSSC registration. We will need you to register with the SSSC within 6 months of starting your employment with us.
