Start 2022 with a career you'll love, where you really make a difference!!

Our amazing #TeamDrum are recruiting now for understanding and patient individuals to join them on a permanent basis as a Support Worker in Dunfermline.

The Role

The great thing about this job is that no two days are ever the same.  Our team support 4 ladies who are non-verbal and have complex needs. The ladies enjoy a variety of activities from watching football and rugby to going to the theatre and cinema along with in-house activities such as arts and crafts and  sensory days. We're looking for you to take an active interest in their hobbies with a willingness to research new activities they could try.

As a Support Worker, you'll assist with all aspects of daily living, including going to appointments, full personal care, peg feeding and care meetings. As the lady we support uses a wheelchair there will be aspects of manual handling including the use of hoists.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of others with a bubbly and outgoing nature and can think creatively when planning activities. The ladies have their own car so it would be great if you have a full, manual UK driving licence, but this isn’t a deal breaker!!

We recruit on values and transferrable skills, so you don't need experience or qualifications to start your career with us.  We have our own Training Academy that'll give you all the skills you'll need, including the opportunity to complete your SVQ.

All we'll need you to bring is;

  • A great listener with great communication skills.
  • A caring attitude and approach.
  • A positive approach to learning.
  • Always seek to go above and beyond what's expected.
  • Confidence in the use of technology.

Shift Patterns

Our dedicated team provide 24 hour service with the following shifts, 7am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, waking nights and sleepovers which can vary depending on the needs of the people we support and activities planned.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited along to a socially distanced interview on Monday 14th February 2022, with a second stage Meet and Greet with the people we support and their families.
