ADASS is seeking to appoint two senior members of staff who will bring additional social care policy and implementation expertise and capacity to our talented and committed team.  
 
About the role
Working closely with the Chief Officer, the roles will support ADASS in delivery of its core objectives.  This will include leading specific pieces of work across adult social care policy and service development, and working closely with the ADASS Executive and key partners.  In particular:
 
1. Work with the Chief Officer to co-ordinate and support the ADASS policy and regional leads to provide professional experience and knowledge into the implementation of a wide range of work across adult social care.
 
2. To cover a range of policy areas and to play a lead role in co-ordinating and supporting specific areas of policy / service development.  These areas could fall across the range of adult social care functions, including risk and resources, sustainable health and care systems, care markets, workforce, and across the full range of people needing care and support.. This may involve working with a national ADASS policy lead, with trustees, or leading on preparatory work in ADASS on an area of early policy development.  
 
3. Contribute to the overall development and delivery of the ADASS business plan alongside staff and the ADASS Executive.
 
About you
Applicants are likely to be working in the adult social services field, probably at head of service level or equivalent, in either a service or policy / performance role. As important as experience is the ability to work flexibly, at pace, and in partnership with ADASS colleagues and Executive, and with government, the NHS and other external partners.
