Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join our Group Risk Management team.

Reporting to the Senior Risk Manager, you will be supporting the team in managing and developing the processes and strategy of risk management throughout the IntegraFin Holdings plc group to meet both its business objectives and regulatory requirements.

The Role

Managing a small team, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Risk function in co-ordinating the development and maintenance of the IHP Group Risk Management Framework.
  • Evolving a Group-wide risk management function that balances framework, policy and processes with forward thinking capability and direction.
  • Assisting in developing and embedding the operational risk capital assessment framework, policies and processes across the group.
  • Embedding an appropriate risk culture across the business by collaborating with key stakeholders and building a network across the business.
  • Assisting the first line in the development and maintenance of risk appetite statements, metrics, trigger points and escalations linked to the Group’s strategy appropriate to the Group’s operations.
  • Representing the second line at any required meetings, ensuring that all relevant risks are discussed and, where necessary, escalated appropriately and mitigated.
  • Enabling the business functions to take ownership of risk with the necessary training, support and direction from the risk function.

You must have sound knowledge and understanding of governance, risk management, compliance and internal controls ‘good practice’ applicable to the Group. Extensive experience of risk management within a regulated financial services environment is also essential. Any previous people management experience would also be of benefit, but you must be able to demonstrate experience of buddying and coaching and be keen to develop other members of the team even if you have not had any formal line management experience. Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements from the FCA (investment firms prudential regime) and the PRA (insurance) are fundamental together with experience of operational risk management and capital assessment modelling.

In this role you will be the standard bearer for doing the right thing, ensuring that our governance, risk management, compliance and internal controls are exemplary. You must be objective, take accountability and have the confidence and courage to challenge both the executive and non-executive directors views with constructive suggestions and suitable alternative proposals as and when required. You must have excellent communication skills and be an effective communicator at all levels with impact and influence in both oral and written form. You should be highly self motivated with the ability to use your own initiative.

The role is based in our central London office, working a minimum of two days a week in the office and three days a week from home.
