Job Description
We are looking for a CNC Programmer to join our Design team at the Bedford site. If you have a strong Solidworks background and capability, with CNC production programming experience and enjoy working in a team, this could be a great fit for you.
About the role
As a CNC Programmer, you’ll play a key role in transforming design concepts into high-quality, precision-engineered components. Working closely with designers and engineers, you’ll programme CNC machinery, and prepare sheet metal designs using relevant software and will ensure efficient production through accurate creation of Bills of Materials (BOMs).Ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and excellence in every project.
About you
In this role you will create, test, and refine CNC programs using CAD/CAM software e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD and TruTops Boost. Therefore knowledge and experience in these systems is essential. You will collaborate with the design team to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
To be successful you ideally have:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing or design environment.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of Laser, guillotine, CNC Punch and Press Brake.
- Able to read and create engineering drawings with a good level of accuracy.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 4:30pm, totaling 34.5 hours per week.
The role will Initially be based at our Bedford site, however will relocate to our Shefford site within the next 2 years.
