Role Overview

The delivery of Glasgow Airports asset management and capital investment plan is essential to the Airport to deliver its business objectives. This role will manage the day to day operation of the drawing office, produce and maintain drawings for the site database and administer the technical library.
The role will support the project management team and maintenance teams with the delivery of projects from conception to completion and integration. The candidate should have good technical ability and be able to demonstrate skills such as CAD production / management, prioritisation and problem solving. Good communication skills are essential, with the ability to manage expectations.

Principal Accountabilities
Prepare engineering CAD drawings including tender, contract and ‘as constructed’ drawings. Maintain the site database using relevant IT products.
Manage the day to day operation of the Drawing Office, prioritise workloads and ensure that requests for information/drawings are met in a timely manner.
Preparing customised maps, plans and drawings as requested by stakeholders.
Obtain information necessary to produce such drawings, including site surveys and dimensions.
Control and maintain the site database of terminal floor plans, fire alarm layouts, airfield plans etc.
Provide database information to support projects generated by other Airport departments.
Maintain and update the Asset Technical Information Centre Library, including information on materials and electrical, mechanical, civil engineering and building contractors.
To research existing hard copy records, judge the validity of the information and transfer on to the appropriate computer database by digitising or other methods as appropriate.

Participate in projects and working parties and to carry out any other duties that may be outside the standard remit for the purpose of personal development, or as may be reasonably required by the Company.
To comply with all legal and statutory obligations applicable to this role.
To assist key Airport teams in complying with current Safety legislation and/or regulations with the objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of staff and passengers.
To ensure that all submitted project designs with relevant and up to date legislations

Qualifications and Experience
Degree or equivalent rated qualification / proven track record on project delivery, design based or Engineering.  Experience on one of more of the following disciplines; construction, building, civil engineering, mechanical, electrical.
Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines
Advanced AutoCAD operation and file management, with a working knowledge of AutoCAD BIM products.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with preference for Office365 including Teams and SharePoint experience.
Effective team player.

Framework and Boundaries

Work as part of a team to provide excellent service delivery to all departments and stakeholders within Glasgow Airport.
Assist Project team with the delivery of all projects within the boundary of Glasgow Airport and those which serve the Airport infrastructure.
Assistance with the delivery of one stop shop facility.
