The Role

We are currently looking for our next exciting year of Graduate / Trainee Chartered Accountants to start with us in September 2022, although typically we would look to bring in successful individuals over the summer months if available.

We have positions available across our Leeds, Skipton, Carlisle, Newcastle & Glasgow offices.

We’ve designed our three-year programme to take you on a journey to become a professionally qualified business adviser. You’ll help us provide market leading business advice and service to support our clients’ growth. It’s a busy 3 years with lots of exciting challenges and rewarding career development opportunities.

With full study support for the ICAEW ACA qualification, you will pack in lots of learning and new experiences alongside your formal study and revision for exams. 

Sitting in our Audit and Assurance team throughout the training programme, you may be given the opportunity to gain experience across a variety of specialist service lines including Restructuring & Insolvency, Financial Planning, Corporate Finance and Tax Consultancy depending on business needs and workload.

We aim for colleagues to have two service-line rotations throughout the three year learning period; for a period of 4-5 weeks each time however this subject to business demands.

We want candidates who demonstrate strong communication skills, who are driven to succeed with a can-do positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Candidates must possess: 2:1 degree or above (achieved or predicted) in any discipline or the full AAT qualification. 

You must also possess a full and valid UK Drivers Licence before September 2022.

If we shortlist your application, you will be invited to complete some online tests which will help us measure your numeracy and problem solving skills. These tests will be sent to you on Friday 7 January 2022 with a deadline of 16 January 2022 to complete.

Following on from successful completion of the online testing, we will invite you to a one-on-one video interview (via Microsoft Teams) with a member of our Talent Acquisition Team. In this interview you will be given the chance to ask any questions you have about the firm and the role.

Should you then be successful following the video interview, you will then be invited to one of our Assessment Centres. This involves an online presentation, an online full competency based interview and a practical task performed remotely. There will also be an in person career discussion with the Managing Partner and the Head of Audit & Assurance. The invites for the Online Assessment Centre will be sent on 15 February 2022 and you will be required to return the presentation and briefing paper 7 days in advance of your Assessment Centre date.

Assessment Centres for these roles are expected to take place on Monday 28 February 2022 & Tuesday 1 March 2022 for our Leeds and Skipton intake, Wednesday 2 March 2022 for our Newcastle intake, Thursday 3 March 2022 for our Carlisle intake & Monday 7 March 2022 for our Glasgow intake.
