Autism Plus are a leading Yorkshire Charity supporting adults and young people with autism, learning disabilities, mental health conditions and complex needs.
In 1986 the Charity was created by a group of parents looking for the very best support for their children who were about to leave a specialist school. Once they reached the age of 17, they found there was little or no support. The belief set by our founding parents, to empower more people to live independent, fulfilling lives remains our focus today.
We employ over 350 people across the north of England in care support services, employment support and social enterprise businesses.
About the Role:
Hours: 37.5 hours a week minimum
Location: Hull
Essential: Full, Clean Driving License
Desirable: Minimum of 2 years experience in similar setting
We are currently looking for a Deputy Manager to support the current Registered Manager within the area. The role will involve providing learning and development, to promote physical, emotional and social wellbeing for individuals with Autism and other disabilities. You will be required to work under CQC standards and requirements, and in line with Autism Plus policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities (Include but are not limited too):

Manage and ensure a safe and healthy environment for people and staff.

Responsible that the service operates to a high standard, to make a positive contribution to the operations of the company, and to ensure the core values and mission statement are always central to the service.

Work within and maintain the quality management system for the organisation and to adhere to the CQC standards and regulations.

Maintain a high quality service working in partnership with colleagues and stakeholders to manage and support all services.

Ensure the delivery of safe, personalised services to each individual service user through assessment person centred planning and regular outcome focussed reviews of the service.

Recruit, retain, train, and supervise staff.

Ensure compliance with Autism Plus development & training and supervision, probation & appraisals policies.

Assist the Registered Manager with reviewing budgets, staff rotas, complaints and relationship building with external regulatory bodies.

Lead the Team Managers to be motivated, empowered, supported whilst providing the highest person centred support.
Within your team we expect you to:

Be flexible in accordance with the needs of the weekly rota.

Be available to cover leave (sickness, annual, etc.).

Assist in the induction of new staff.

Support colleagues in difficult or potentially difficult situations within the workplace.

Ensure issues of concern are elevated to a more knowledgeable member of staff if the situation requires specific expertise.
