About the Role

The Purchasing Assistant supports all procurement department functions to maximise supply chain effectiveness and plays a critical role in achieving ongoing successful parts supply. The role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to help us deliver excellent customer experience of ordering products through PRIMA Leisure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Holding our suppliers to account by effective chasing of overdue purchase orders – via email, phone, in person conversations
  • Reviewing and managing delivery issues to improve seamless supply of products and feedback issues to our suppliers as part of a 360 review process
  • Ensuring order confirmation, cost price and delivery dates are rapidly updated to provide supply chain transparency throughout the business
  • Liaising closely with other departments to achieve business objectives
  • Fostering strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the Finance team to reduce and resolve invoice queries from our suppliers
  • Support with internal queries from Customer Services team
  • Ensuring Supplier Price Uploads are processes accurately and efficiently
  • Ensuring Lead Times are maintained accurately
  • Supporting with accurate product data management including New Part Activation
  • Providing assistance and support for Purchasing team whenever needed.

Your Qualifications & Experience

  • Effective Communication skills – written and oral and ability to adapt and communicate cross functionally and externally with our suppliers
  • Professional manner with written and phone communication with external stakeholders
  • Intermediate Excel skills, comfortable with working with spreadsheets
  • PowerBI experience desirable
  • An ability to effectively manage multiple tasks at any one time and apply problem solving techniques
  • Ability to work in a team but also independently
  • A solution focused, results driven attitude
  • Adherence to all health and safety procedures.
