About the role

The Mendix Tech Lead (Senior Consultant) reports to the Data Services Director and has primary responsibility to ensure that our Mendix solutions are implemented to the highest quality with value to our customers, future proofing, and scalability at the forefront of your thinking.

You will develop and maintain frameworks for the delivery of Mendix projects, providing a key liaison point between the customer, the development team and CDS stakeholders.

You will provide technical leadership and delivery oversight working with the Mendix Architect to identify the most appropriate combinations of technology and services that will fulfil solution requirements.

This is a technical and customer-facing role, at all times focusing on the creation and measurement of value to our customers, whether external or internal.


Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who…

  • Is comfortable in a professional and high-performing team.
  • Can lead technical delivery ensuring the engineers are working in line with CDS frameworks and delivering high-quality output to agreed timelines.
  • Can liaise with customers and project managers to agree on priorities and resolve issues.
  • Can translate customer requirements into viable and performant solutions.
  • Can identify composable and reusable development patterns that allow for greater flexibility and reduce time to delivery
  • Understands the importance of user-focused design.
  • Can contribute to the development of designs and proofs of concept to support the commercial / bids teams.
  • Challenges assumptions and uses data-driven decision-making to provide the optimal balance between theory and practicality.
  • Keeps up to date with the latest capabilities and trends.


Requirements 

  • Strong/demonstrable experience working with Mendix
  • Minimum of 3 Mendix implementations or projects
  • At least 2 Mendix projects or implementations as Technical Lead / Senior Consultant
  • Experience working with agile frameworks and methodologies


It would also be beneficial, but not essential to be/have…

  • Experience in website data architecture
  • Experience with MS Azure services
  • Familiarity with Appian
  • Familiarity with Power BI / Tableau architecture and implementation


Vetting

Due to the nature of this role and the business, you will need to either currently hold UK Government clearance to a minimum of SC level or be able to undergo and maintain this level of clearance.
