Barking & Dagenham College is a vibrant and highly successful College in East London with circa 12,500 students, circa 500 established staff and a turnover of £35m. The College offers routes into learning from entry level through to MBA level, including apprenticeships, higher level apprentices, higher education and job centre plus clients. An exciting new position has arisen at the College! As an Employer Engagement Officer, you will support the TSkills qualification being central to our students’ work and industry placement opportunities by securing meaningful placement opportunities that support their area of study.
As a strong communicator, you will work closely with various stakeholders, including our sales and curriculum teams, providing key employers with students that are ‘work ready’. You will have ownership of the whole recruitment journey, from setting up the initial meetings with the employers, right up until their interview and placement. Your creative flare will shape marketing collateral and Employer Engagement events.
This is a multifaceted customer facing role, requiring exceptional written and oral communication skills. The role entails extensive Employer Engagement as well as Student Support, the split being 70% EE and 30% SS. You will therefore be confident and proactive and possess strong sales and negotiation skills. Driven to deliver on targets, you will have experience within a similar role. You will also:
- Possess a Level 3 Qualification in Business Administration, Sales or Marketing
- Have excellent organisation and planning skills
- Have a passion for success
- Possess a UK driving licence and have access to a car.
