About Us

Barking & Dagenham College is a vibrant and highly successful College in East London with circa 12,500 students, circa 500 established staff and a turnover of £35m.  The College offers routes into learning from entry level through to MBA level, including apprenticeships, higher level apprentices, higher education and job centre plus clients.  We have technical specialist areas from level 3 and above with a broad based curriculum up to level 2.  We are immensely proud of the achievements of our students, our entrepreneurial and motivated staff team and our extensive partnership network.  The College trains circa 850 apprentices, including circa 110 higher level apprenticeships and delivers work place training, traineeships and higher level technical and professional specialisms up to MBA level in our 4 strategic vocational areas; Construction, Design & Management; Engineering including mechatronics & robotics; Digital Creative; Health & Social Care and Leadership and Management across the pan London occupational sectors.

You can be the one who makes a difference to people in our community by teaching Business and Access to HE courses and helping 16-18, 19+ & Adult Learners and disadvantaged people to progress to higher level study programs including university education , apprenticeships and work.

Depending on experience and qualifications, our new team member will plan, teach, coach and assess across a range of programmes, which could include the following, depending on the specialisms of the successful candidate:

Pearson BTEC Level 1 to Level 3 Business Diplomas (RQF),

NCFE Level 1 to Level 3 Business Admin & Customer Service Diplomas

OCN London Level 3 - Access to HE Business Studies

Level 1 Explorers and other employability related short courses

The successful applicant will demonstrate dedication to teaching excellence, the ability to work flexibly as part of a team, a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, and great communication skills. They will be a role model, inspiring others through modelling key behaviours and values of the college.
