Barking & Dagenham College is a vibrant and highly successful College in East London with circa 7,500 students, circa 500 established staff and a turnover of £35m. The College offers routes into learning from entry level through to MBA level, including apprenticeships, higher level apprentices, higher education and job centre plus clients. We have technical specialist areas from level 3 and above with a broad based curriculum up to level 2. Barking & Dagenham College is looking for an IT Lecturer who is able develop and prepare course materials and associated lesson plans and schemes of work. Monitor and track learner progress and maintain up to date records.
Support learners with learning difficulties. Participate in IT team activities and act as a course leader along with promoting innovation in learning and technology. Be able to undertake assessor and internal verification role.
Promote the College through market events and delivery of new courses. Organise industry work placements as required and liaise with employers. Take part in enrolment, admissions and induction of learners. Understand the importance of Safe
Guarding in the workplace and an awareness of Equality and Diversity. Undertake pastoral care and guidance to support learners. Ability to teach digital technologies and experience of networking, programming and digital technologies.
