​​​​​​​The Careers Department at Barking & Dagenham College performs a vital function in ensuring all potential and current students are given high quality specialist advice.  We are seeking to appoint a professional, hard working, knowledgeable and effective person to support students. 

This role is maternity cover. (up until June 2021)

We are looking for a part-time (3 days a week, 0.6) experienced Careers Advisor specialist to coordinate the provision of educational and vocational guidance for potential and existing students of all ages, and also to deliver a careers education service in our College. You will be required to have some experience in an educational setting and to have achieved or working towards a minimum of a Level 6 (QCG or equivalent) qualification in careers.  Please note that this is an essential requirement. Part of your role will be as a careers specialist in the coordination and development of the college tutoring system. You must be flexible, with a good level of communication, knowledge of college learner support systems and approaches and willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends.
