Barking and Dagenham College have a number of exciting positions coming up within the Estates and Facilities department. We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer

As Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring day to day maintenance and upkeep of the college facilities in an effective and efficient manner.

You should ideally be Educated up to degree level or equivalent, but essentially must hold Appropriate buildings management qualifications e.g. BIFM or equivalent, and hold a Level 2 in both Literacy and Numeracy.

An integral part of the college engineering team, you will carry out reactive and planned maintenance duties whilst ensuring full compliance and high standards of works and professionalism. Whilst this role has an electrical bias, the position requires an open, hands-on approach to supporting wider engineering team in our service delivery To work collaboratively with managers to deliver a seamless service to customers and clients.

Ideally you will have experience in operating smart/ intelligent/sustainable buildings ​​​​​​, however it is essential that you have Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including good practice in relation to caretaking/cleaning/hygiene, and good organisational skills, including the ability to adapt to changing workload demands and new workplace challenges.

Our Estates team manage Barking & Dagenham college's 28-acre Rush Green campus and a number of satellite buildings in which contain a varied and mixed use of departments and learners. 

The team aim to provide, maintain, and develop a high-quality environment in a professional, efficient, safe and customer focused manner to ensure Barking & Dagenham college continues to meet its strategical targets whilst enhancing our students experience today and in the future.
