About the Role:

Do you have the drive and passion to make a real difference to the lives of children in care. Are you a proactive, pragmatic, and progressive social worker? We are seeking a Senior Social Work Practitioner to join our dynamic Children in Care Team.

As a Senior Prac. in the team, you will manage your own caseload, working with children and young people who are looked after and those who have a plan of adoption. You will demonstrate a strong ability to analyse information and formulate outcome-focused care plans for children and young people. Your exceptional organisational skills will enable you to manage and prioritise your work effectively and in a timely way.

In part in this role, you can expect to:

  • Devise dynamic care plans for children in care in Bath and North East Somerset Council.
  • Facilitate adoption processes, ensuring that children find permanent, loving homes.
  • Develop and implement transition plans to support young people as they move towards adulthood.
  • Support reunification efforts to help children return to their families when safe and appropriate.
  • Promote family connections and lifelong links, recognising the importance of maintaining relationships with birth families and significant others.
