The role

This is an exciting opportunity to help drive forward our mission to make Keynsham a better place to live, work, play and visit. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Business and Community Engagement Officer who will share our commitment and belief in the unique potential of our town. This role will be responsible for the majority of the council’s business and community engagement activities together with communications, working with our forward-thinking small, friendly council team, stakeholders and a thriving voluntary sector in Keynsham spanning the arts and culture, sustainability, horticulture, festivals and a great deal more.

About you

If you have skills in Business and Community Engagement and are also strong in respect of communications, being able to develop and handle public relations, media, campaigns and marketing initiatives, we would love to hear from you. Our town

Keynsham is a thriving market town within the Bath and North East Somerset Council area. The Town Council serves a population of approximately 19,000 with further increases in population anticipated over the next few years.

In addition to a wide range of facilities managed by the Council, it is currently overseeing the preparation of a Neighbourhood Plan, some major capital projects and intends to continue working with its partners to create a new programme of events and services to benefit the community.
