Job Description

At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose – to improve people’s lives.

About the Team

It’s an exciting time to be working at Bath & North East Somerset Council as we implement an organisational change programme that is transforming the way we work, and we embark on a period of significant capital investment, across a range of transport and highways projects, begin the journey to rationalise our Corporate Estate to better deliver our operational services, develop our flagship sites at Bath Quays and Somer Valley, and deliver our ambitious housing programme through a pipeline of activity and allocation of strategic sites.

It is a challenging time too because we have lots to do, with a clear mandate from the current administration to deliver this ambitious capital programme. To do this we are recruiting to smarter structures to resource and supplement the great teams we have. We need people with the same level of drive, experience and determination, and those who aspire to develop careers in a fast pace organisation.

The difference we make will improve peoples lives in the district and regionally as we work with the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, through greater devolution, to help fund the capital programme.

The Property Compliance team is a small but dedicated team of specialists who are responsible for providing assurance to the Corporate centre that our estate (land and buildings) are statutorily compliant. Our work ranges from ensuring certification of compliance activity to undertaking or coordinating the completion of remedial works. As part of our service, we also assist Council departments by providing copies of relevant compliance documentation to support responses to FOI requests, audits, HSE enquiries and requests from external agencies.

So come and join our award winning teams on this generational journey that will transform the district and contribute to the regional growth agenda.
