Job Description

Apprentice Fixed Term Contract to 31/08/2028

What You’ll Learn

Through QA’s Cyber Defender & Responder Level 4 Apprenticeship, you’ll develop:

  • A deep understanding of cyber threats, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  • Skills in network monitoring, incident response, and threat analysis.
  • Hands-on experience using industry tools like Project Ares®, a gamified cyber training platform.
  • Knowledge across modules including Networking Fundamentals, Operating Systems, Security Foundations, Cloud Security, and more.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible, you must have one of the following:

  • A Level in ICT
  • International Baccalaureate Level 3 in ICT
  • Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
  • BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)

  • Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communicates clearly and works well in a team
  • Is methodical and detail-oriented
  • Can adapt to different tasks and environments
  • Is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced digital setting
