About the Team

We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible Catering Assistant to join our team at:

Cleeve Court, Cleeve Green, Twerton, Bath BA2 1RS

This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to make a meaningful impact. The role is permanent, offering 27 hours on average per week on a cycling two-week fixed rota, including two weekends per month and bank holidays.

Working hours are from (depending on schedule):

  • 08:00 to 14:30
  • 14:30 to 18:00

About the Role:

This role is based within a residential care setting, where you will be working in close contact with residents who have a wide range of needs, including physical, emotional, and cognitive support requirements, as well as carrying out duties within the kitchen environment. We are looking for someone who is friendly, respectful, and compassionate, able to engage positively while maintaining dignity and creating a pleasant dining experience for everyone.

As a Catering Assistant, you will support the day-to-day running of the kitchen and dining service, helping to ensure that residents receive high-quality meals in a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with transportation and delivery of food across from our kitchen
  • Washing and drying of catering equipment/crockery
  • Supporting the team with serving food and drink to service users and others as directed by other team members
  • Cleaning of dining and kitchen space
  • Setting up of the dining space
  • Ensuring the provision of enough supplies of clean crockery, cutlery, and cooking utensils for each meal service
  • Communicating effectively with care staff, service users and visitors

  • A proactive team player who is also able to work on their own initiative and without supervision
  • Able to communicate effectively with care staff, service users and visitors
  • Friendly, reliable, and respectful in a care environment
