About the Role

As a Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist, you will:

  • Carry a complex caseload to include major adaptations under Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs), moving and handling, and postural assessments.
  • Advise and support OTs with complex casework, as required.
  • Lead OT Peer Supervision groups.
  • Work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary teams to promote functional independence, wellbeing, and inclusive practice for adults with diverse needs.

Work alongside OT Team Managers to share clinical expertise.

About You

You are an HCPC-registered occupational therapist with extensive post-qualification experience in adult social care.

You have:

  • Substantial experience in housing adaptations, including DFG processes and major structural changes.
  • Expert knowledge of moving and handling principles, risk assessment, and advisory practice.
  • Expertise in postural management and seating solutions for complex physical needs.
  • In- depth knowledge of legislation including, but not exclusive to, the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Housing, and Moving and Handling.
  • A strong commitment to person-centred, strengths-based approaches
  • Skills in mentoring, clinical supervision, and evidence-informed practice
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and partnership working abilities.
