We are looking for an enthusiastic, practical, and motivated Minor Adaptations Technician to join our busy Community Equipment Service Team, based at Radstock Road Depot, Midsomer Norton.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable residents by helping them remain safe, independent, and confident in their own homes.
About the Role
As a Minor Adaptations Technician, you will carry out a range of minor adaptations in service users' homes across Bath and North East Somerset, including the installation of:
- Grab rails
- Second mopstick stair rails
- External Kee Klamp rails
Working directly with vulnerable residents, you will provide a professional and customer-focused service, responding to queries and ensuring adaptations are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
You will be part of a supportive and dedicated team and will work closely with healthcare professionals, social care staff, clients, carers, and family members to help deliver positive outcomes for those who use our service.
About You & What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Has practical handyman, maintenance, or DIY experience
- Has the skills and confidence to carry out installations safely and effectively
- Takes pride in delivering excellent customer service
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Can work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment
- Is able to work safely in service users' homes and adapt to different environments
- Is reliable, flexible, and committed to making a difference
