Job Description

At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose – to improve people’s lives.

Based Pixash Lane Keynsham and able to work between the sites.

Working at the Council's waste & recycling centres and waste transfer station, you will be responsible for picking material off the picking line in the material recycling facility.

You will be responsible for ensuring that contamination is efficiently removed from the kerbside collected waste brought into the material recycling facility.

Reporting to the supervisors and Operations Manager, you will work as part of a team to maximise the quality of the different recycling streams. Primarily this will be on the sort line in our new MRF.

It is essential that you have Basic Maths and English skills. You may also be required to cover other work within the overall waste & cleansing operational service as necessary.
