About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and innovative project officer to deliver a variety of projects in our new Landscape City initiative in the City of Bath World Heritage Site and its setting.
The Project Officer working with the Landscape City Programme Manager, will design and deliver a range of green infrastructure projects to support delivery of West of England and Bath & North East Somerset Council targets to support nature recovery, improve health and wellbeing and climate resilience.
This work will build on the strong foundations established by Bathscape over the last 5 years delivering benefits that include enhancement of the green setting of Bath and integration of the urban ecological network, better water management, air quality, noise reduction, safer and more encouraging environments for cycling and walking and creating conditions that encourage active lifestyles and promoting mental wellbeing.
Working to the Landscape City Programme Manager in the Green Infrastructure and Nature Recovery Team you will work with the Nature Recovery Manager and Principal Ecologist to develop and implement projects on key sites in the Bathscape landscape. You will also engage with landowners, elected members, special interest groups, volunteers and residents’ associations.
About You
We are looking for candidates with experience of developing and delivering natural environment projects, particularly habitat improvement and woodland management. With the need to engage with a wide range of partners and community groups you will have good facilitation and partnership development skills. You must be able to think creatively and be able to identify opportunities and have strong negotiating skills.
