Job purpose

  • Working with the wider team and business to support them in creating high-quality marketing collateral and sales materials. To champion outstanding levels of attention to detail, accuracy and consistency across all comms

Main duties and responsibilities 

  • Working with the marketing teams and Brand and QA Designer (Title TBC) to discuss briefed requirements
  • Creating, developing, preparing and finishing artwork for print from initial layouts and concepts
  • Working on a broad variety of design, marketing and communication materials including; brochures, adverts, leaflets, posters, exhibition graphics and stationery
  • Contributing creative ideas to the overall brief whilst maintaining artwork technicalities
  • Supporting the designers in the development and finalising of projects
  • Working on layouts and artworking pages ready for print
  • Proofreading and challenging mistakes to produce accurate and high-quality artwork including a process for quality controlling own outputs
  • Creating eye-catching artwork within the realms of BPP’s brand and style guidelines
  • Maintenance of the file management system to allow effective file location
  • Ability to set-up and use templates to exacting standards
  • To be a key member of the Content team and wider marketing unit
  • Assist the Brand and QA Designer (Title TBC) with the updating of collateral for the BPP Sales Toolkit, ensuring consistency and accuracy
  • Taking part in constructive critique sessions aimed at improving the quality of outputs 
  • Explaining and presenting your work to colleagues, clients and other teams

 

Knowledge, skills and experience 

  • A degree or equivalent level qualification preferred, however applications from candidates with appropriate skills and experience will also be considered
  • Experience in an artworking role within a corporate team or large brand, with experience working to brand guidelines
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite; including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Proficient on a Mac and PC
  • Good knowledge of print and production processes
  • Excellent artworking skills with an eye for design, layout, typography and the ability to adhere to brand guidelines
  • Have meticulous attention to detail and possess problem-solving skills
  • High level of organisation and the ability to work on multiple projects and follow directions, templates and designs from other designers within brand guidelines
  • Highly motivated, excellent communicator, able to work independently and collaboratively as needed, able to balance great design with tight deadlines, with a desire to learn and develop
