Role summary

The role of the Senior Operations Strategy Manager is to deliver key operational projects that align with the company’s strategic objectives. The role will work across all areas of BPP and have key relationships with central operational units, IT, PMO and data teams. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver operational benefits (Opex and capability) with the below remit.

Key responsibilities

•    Work with the Head of Group Operations Strategy to agree strategic project plans and ROI deliverables
•    Customer (internal/external) experience rationalisation and enhancement 
•    Map client journeys to deliver enhancement and improved utilisation of strategic CRM platform
•    Deliver improvement in back office functions in order to eliminate waste/duplication and improved client/customer/student journeys and associated data quality
•    Establish and enhance operational data quality, reporting and KPI measurements
•    Identify and implement operational process improvement
•    Business change management
•    Legacy system transition, representing operational and strategic interests
•    Operationalise new strategic initiatives

Knowledge, skills and experience required for role

•    Previous experience of: 
o    Business intelligence development, customer strategy development, operational improvement and efficiencies, as well as business transformation
o    Customer journey mapping and ability to visualise and document the associated processes
o    Designing customer journeys accounting for operational capability

•    Proven track record of operational improvement delivery with tangible ROI returns
•    SCRUM/Agile certification, with experience of using this methodology to identify and deliver operational improvement
•    An excellent understanding of what it takes to ensure data quality and performance measurement
•    Excellent organisational and time management skills
•    Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM and data analytics

In addition to the above the Senior Operations Strategy Manager should have:

•    A hands on approach to problem solving, identifying issues and using initiative and available resources to ensure achievement of strategic objectives
•    Ability to cope with conflicting demands and to prioritise tasks
•    Ability and desire to work on a wide variety of projects and business areas
•    Ability to work independently and within a team and be an active team player
•    Strong motivation and a positive approach to team working and building relationships
•    A positive attitude to dealing with people.
