Scope of the role:

You will create and embed operational training and H&S initiatives across the FDG network. This will include the requirements of on-boarding and functional training processes and ensure the governance of completion is in line with internal and external requirements.

This role reports to the Group Head of Health and Safety Manager this role will support all aspects of our safety culture and routines. E.g. audits, reporting and weekly safety calls etc. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the supply chain working party for all training related projects and initiatives including robust compliance and training for induction and on-boarding
  • Ensure robust and consistent process in place to record and monitor operational training (Training matrix) in line with BRC audit purposes.
  • Support the Head of Health and Safety to ensure we are maintaining and improving on our safety culture through support of governance and audits.
  • Create, deliver and embed new vehicle training for all drivers across the FD network in line with the roll out of the new FD fleet

Key Attributes:

  • Previous experience in a Health and Safety position relatable to our business
  • Previous operational experience within Supply Chain/Operations
  • Ability to create and deliver effective training to all levels of employees
  • Able to multi-task and work independently
  • Proven influencing skills at all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create and deliver effective training to all levels of employees
