Our Corporate Business Development team is growing, we have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join the Fresh Direct Sales team focusing on new corporate accounts.

This is a homebased role, though candidates will live within a commutable distance to Bicester with expectation to be onsite a minimum of once per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new sales opportunities, to achieve and increase sales turnover and gross profit
  • Build and maintain a new business prospect list aligned to our business growth strategy
  • Convert prospect customers into active a realistic pipeline opportunities
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the customers wants and needs and present appropriate business solutions
  • Proactively manage customer retention prior to handover to the national account team.
  • Negotiate long term agreements / contracts prior to new business mobilisation
  • Own and execute the company new business process from start to end

Key Attributes

  • Relevant experience of foodservice, knowledge of HORCEA is preferable
  • Able to create strong and credible rapport with key customer decision makers
  • Proven track record of profitable new business development
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the market place
  • The capacity to interpret, understand and act upon financial data to achieve customer solutions
  • Prepare and present effective new business tenders and presentations
  • Commercial awareness of what factors influence customer profitability
  • Project manage new business mobilisations
  • A passion for produce, dairy and food is required to be a successful in this role
