Sysco Speciality Group are currently recruiting a people centric, and results driven Customer Supply Manager to join our Customer Supply team on a full time, permanent basis.

This role is based from home, however, visits across out network will be required including Bicester, Dagenham and Wigan, so you must be comfortable with frequent travel. You will receive a company car/allowance to support with this.

You’ll support the customer & supply chain planning requirements, gathering demand insight & managing customer driven change within the network. Always looking at new ways of establishing & developing collaborative relationships with Sysco Speciality Group key customers to action change intelligence across product supply and operations that supports best service for customers & lowest risk to SSG.

This role is instrumental in rolling out and embedding tactical plans in line with our ambitious growth strategy and you’ll bring functional expertise to ensure that we deliver, whilst keeping an eye on costs and creating an inclusive team working environment.

Key Accountabilities And Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers to gather forecasting insight for key demand events (menu changes, category switches, additions to category, organic growth, events etc). Challenge, validate & analyse the impact & communicate simply and quickly across our supply Chain & distribution network, specifically identifying concerns or decisions that need to be made.
  • Collaborate with customers to ensure the best information is captured and provided across the business for the full product life cycle maximising availability and minimising waste, ensuring we efficiently monitor and report on the end-to-end supply chain.
  • Build the appropriate relationships with our sales teams to gather insight relating to sales driven change such as new menus, new supplier introductions, additional site openings etc.
  • Ensure that feedback is provided to customers or sales teams on the quality of their insights
  • Working closely with sales teams, customers, supply chain operations and inventory planning teams, review overall service to our key customers providing detailed insight to support our customer KPI’s on a weekly and periodic basis
  • Ensure that all customer change activity is understood at least four weeks of the change occurring & is known about / captured on the planning pipeline so that the appropriate resource can be allocated to it
  • Review customer information and challenge – particularly where forecasts appear to be unrealistic, where there are known supplier issues, product discontinuations or code changes.
  • Provide accurate and timely information to allow our depot operations teams to effectively plan and secure resource for additional business, be it additional volume across our customers’ existing profile or additional customer locations
  • Ensure post go live reviews of forecast accuracy are completed with customers, sales or suppliers & that value added or detracting insights are shared. Capture any lessons and share with the rest of the team.
  • Capture detailed intelligence from across the business and provide suitable commentary to support our key customer’s KPI’s aligned to contractual obligations
  • Be accountable for consistently challenging customers to ensure our product lifecycle is efficient and accurate optimising service and minimising risk

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Essential at least 1 years’ experience in a customer facing role
  • Essential at least 1 years’ experience in a Supply Chain role, preferably in retail, foodservice or FMCG company.
  • Understanding of Microsoft tools (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook & word) and experience of using an ERP system.
  • Experience or involvement in delivering or working as part of a project team essential.
  • Understanding of lean principles or other continuous improvement methodology desirable. Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt would be advantageous
