Walshaw Hall is in the idyllic countryside of nearby Tottington, a residential care home that accommodates up to 56 residents who are cared for around the clock by a team of talented and dedicated carers and support staff who are focussed on delivering the kindest possible care. Walshaw Hall provides dementia care, residential care and respite care on a short-term and long-term stay basis.

About the Role

We are looking for 2 dedicated Days Care Assistants to join our friendly team at Walshaw Hall. These 2 vacancies offer 33-44 hours per week, working 12-hour day shifts from 8am to 8pm with unpaid breaks of 1 hour spread throughout the night.

As a Care Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide compassionate, person-centred care and support
  • Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
  • Support residents with mobility and mealtimes
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversation
  • Maintain accurate care records and report concerns to senior staff
  • Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing always
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and families to ensure the best outcomes
