Shift pattern: 2 x 12-hour night shifts per week (7:30pm-07:30am) including public holidays and some weekends

About the Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nightshift Care Assistant to join our team on an immediate start (depending on satisfactory checks). This is a part-time role offering 24 hours per week. You’ll be working night shifts from 7:30pm to 07:30am, including some weekends and public holidays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents during night hours
  • Support and assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
  • Administer medication to residents and maintain accurate records
  • Monitor and respond to residents’ needs throughout the night
  • Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns to senior staff
  • Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing always
  • Ensure the care home remains clean, safe, and comfortable overnight
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for residents

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working in a care role (essential)
  • Holds a Level 2 qualification (preferred)
  • Can administer medication
  • Is kind, patient, respectful and empathetic with a genuine passion for supporting others
  • Has good communication and teamwork skills and committed to delivering high standards of care.
  • Can work independently during night shifts
  • Is comfortable with personal care tasks
