Alexander Care Home is a welcoming, residential care home in Bury, supporting up to 31 residents. We provide high-quality care for adults aged 65 and over, including those living with dementia. Our team is passionate about creating a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment where residents feel valued and cared for.
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Supervisor to join our friendly team at Alexander Care Home.
This role offers 33 hours per week (plus supernumerary time as required) to support the Manager with auditing and basic administrative tasks.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Carer who is passionate about leading, mentoring, and developing others, while also supporting the Registered Manager with audits and basic administrative responsibilities.
You will play a key role in guiding and supporting less experienced staff, ensuring high standards of care are consistently delivered. This is a varied and rewarding role, offering the chance to make a real difference every day, with clear progression opportunities to Deputy Manager level for the right candidate.
You will have a passion for supporting within a residential care setting. You will lead and inspire a team of Care Assistants to deliver exceptional, person-centred care to our residents enabling them to live well and comfortably. Your responsibilities will include assisting residents with personal care, supporting their health and wellbeing through meaningful activities, administering medication, and maintaining accurate care records and care plans.

Key Responsibilities
- Report to and support the Registered Manager.
- Supervise care delivery in line with agreed standards.
- Assist with audits and basic administrative tasks
- Lead, support and mentor a team of Care Assistants
- Undertake training to maintain up to date practices.
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care
- Support residents with personal care (washing, dressing, and toileting)
- Assist with mobility, nutrition, and wellbeing.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and interaction.
- Administer medication and maintain accurate care plans and records.
- Respond to concerns in line with policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and families
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a residential care setting at a senior care level (essential)
- Holds a Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Health & Social Care (essential)
- Is open to further training and development courses
- Has experience administering medication.
- Is confident maintaining accurate care records and plans
- Has the ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team.
- Is kind, compassionate, and approachable.
- Works well both independently and as part of a team.
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Is committed to delivering high standards of care.
- Is confident supporting people living with dementia.
