Abbeycliffe Care Home is a purpose-built residential care home in Radcliffe, Bury, supporting up to 40 older adults aged 65 and over. We provide high-quality residential and respite care in a warm, welcoming environment where dignity, independence, and person-centred care are at the heart of everything we do. As a family-run care home with over 30 years of experience in the care sector, our dedicated team is committed to meeting the individual physical, emotional, and social needs of each resident. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, comfortable, and homely atmosphere where residents are supported to live fulfilling and meaningful lives while maintaining their independence and wellbeing.
About the Role
As Deputy Manager, you will play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will work closely with the Registered Manager to maintain excellent standards across all areas of the home and take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations in their absence.
This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in leading the care, catering, housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance teams
- Take lead responsibility for day-to-day management of care services, including care plans, medication management and documentation
- Work hands-on within the care team as required
- Ensure full compliance with legislative requirements, company policies, and best practice
- Promote a positive, safe, caring, and homely environment for residents and visitors
- Support staff development and foster a positive work culture
- Build effective relationships with residents, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
About You
You will be an experienced care professional with experience working in residential care with strong leadership skills, a sound understanding of care home regulations, and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional care to older people. You must be flexible, proactive, and able to work effectively under pressure. You must hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care and at least 1 year leadership experience to be considered for interview.
