Killelea House is a care setting dedicated to supporting residents in a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment. We are committed to providing high-quality care and ensuring residents’ wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.

Following their latest successful CQC inspection, the now Outstanding Killelea offers adult rehabilitation for those who have suffered a health condition and are well enough to leave hospital but may not be ready to live independently again at their own home.

About the Role

As a Domestic Assistant, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents. This role involves working closely with clients to support their living space and overall wellbeing.

We are currently looking for 2 Domestic Assistants:

  • 17 hours per week, varied shift patterns
  • 37 hours per week, varied shift patterns

Key Responsibilities

  • To maintain a clean, safe welcoming environment in accordance with hygiene, infection control and health and safety.
  • Follow colour-coding systems to prevent cross-contamination
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and correctly, following COSHH guidance.
  • Work closely with our clients to promote comfort, dignity and well-being.
  • Cleaning clients’ rooms, communal areas, bathrooms and lounges, ensuring all equipment and materials are safely stored and maintained.
  • Replenish cleaning supplies and report low stock levels

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role
  • Is willing to undertake mandatory training.
  • Understands safe cleaning practises and cleaning materials
  • Can work independently with a positive attitude and can manage time effectively
  • Has a good attention to detail and a high standard of cleaning
  • Communicates well with staff and residents and has strong team-working skills
  • Demonstrates initiative and pride in their work
  • Can follow instructions and maintain confidentiality
