Job Description

Service Manager - Supported Living

£39,481 rising to £40,444 after successful completion of induction and probation

We believe that people want to work in social care to make a positive difference in people’s lives. We also believe that work should be fun – we spend too much time doing it for it not to be. Our business is our people and to allow people to do the best possible in their job, we believe in a person-centred and flexible approach.

If you believe that too, then maybe we should get to know each other better?

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Supported Living team, who support people with learning disabilities to live independent, fulfilling lives. We want someone with the right attitude and values who shares our purpose; someone who will fit into our team and enhance it even more.

You’ll be a flexible person with a can-do attitude. You’ll have the ability to develop appropriate relationships with people and to provide support that makes a positive difference. Experience of managing a team of staff and adapting to get the most out of everyone is a must and you will take pride in delivering quality services.

You will be managing the quality and safety of a number of supported living services for adults with learning disabilities in the Bury area, alongside an operational support officer and a team of support workers. You will be supported by the deputy manager and the registered manager of the service; you will also support our out of hours, on-call service on a rota basis.

In return for your contribution, you will receive ongoing development opportunities throughout your career and we provide a wide range of employee benefits, career development and lifestyle support services to ensure that you too feel supported, fulfilled and valued from day one of your employment with us.

As this is a social care post, a satisfactory disclosure and barring service (DBS) check is also required.
