Job Description

Registered Manager - Supported Living

37 hours

£45,718 rising to £46,731 on completion of satisfactory induction, probationary period and registration with CQC

Some days you'll wear many hats. Luckily, you'll look good in all of them!

Persona Care and Support is the local authority trading company of Bury Council and we deliver a large amount of the supported living services in Bury. But we don't just provide services - we create opportunities for people to live independent lives they choose with dignity, choice and control.

We're looking for an outstanding registered manager to lead and develop our Supported Living services. This is not a role for someone seeking a predictable day. It's a role for a professional who thrives on challenge, enjoys variety, embraces accountability and can confidently balance strategic leadership with operational delivery.

If you're someone who can lead a team in the morning, resolve a compliance issue at lunchtime, support a family meeting in the afternoon and still find time to drive service improvement before the end of the day, we'd love to hear from you.

About you

We're seeking a manager who combines strong operational experience with a modern, professional approach.

You'll be someone who:

  • has experience managing Supported Living services and understanding of CQC requirements
  • can confidently lead teams through change, growth and challenge
  • is highly organised and capable of prioritising effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • maintains professionalism under pressure and can make sound decisions quickly
  • has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • understands that compliance and quality are foundations, not destinations
  • is comfortable using technology, digital systems and reporting tools to drive efficiency and service excellence
  • can analyse information, identify trends and use data to support decision-making
  • holds themselves and others accountable whilst supporting people to succeed
  • has a genuine commitment to person-centred support and achieving positive outcomes

About the role

You will be responsible for the effective leadership, compliance, quality and performance of our Supported Living services.

You'll ensure the people we support receive outstanding care that meets their individual needs and goals, whilst creating a positive, high-performing culture where colleagues feel valued, developed and empowered.

You'll be supported by an experienced senior leadership team, but this role requires someone who is confident and leads from the front.

Some of the hats you’ll be wearing are:

  • operational leader
  • quality and compliance champion
  • team developer and coach
  • relationship builder
  • problem solver
  • a systems and data-driven manager
  • advocate for people we support

Most importantly, you'll embody the values that make Persona Care and Support different.

Our values aren't words on a wall. They shape how we lead, how we work together and how we support people every day. We want colleagues who are:

Respectful in their approach to all stakeholders.

Enthusiastic in their desire to develop services and the organisation.

Adaptable to their context.

Caring about people we support and our team.

Honest with full transparency and accountability.

If these values resonate with you, and you're looking for a role where you can genuinely influence quality, culture and outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.

Ready for Your Next Challenge? What’s next?

If you're an experienced registered manager who combines operational excellence with strong leadership, commercial awareness, digital confidence and a passion for delivering outstanding support, get in touch with us.

Please 'apply for job', including your CV and a supporting statement of your choice demonstrating why you think the role, and Persona, are the next career step for you. (No more than 1 side of A4 if written, 5 slides if PowerPoint or 5 minutes if video footage.)

A presentation topic will be sent out with invitations to interview.

Deadline for applications is 2nd November with interviews being held at our head office, Basecamp, week commencing 10th November.

Join Persona Care and Support and help shape services where people don't just receive support, they thrive.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.

Please note we are not currently in a position to offer sponsorship to workers.
