The senior leadership team has a clear vision for the growth of the service and is in the process of overseeing a number of ongoing developments. The College has a proud and successful tradition of supporting young people between the ages of 16 - 25 to build valuable life skills and gain qualifications and confidence that will support them on their journey towards future independence. The Principal and his team have recognised this past success and now seek to offer such opportunities to a wider range of young people and adults as part of the developments that are taking place across all aspects of the College.
Cambian Dilston Colleges consist of our main college building, four cottages, five apartments and a community house in a nearby town making up our 9 acre rural campus located in Dilston, Northumberland. The College caters for young people and adults between the ages of 16 - 25 years that have additional learning needs and associated complex behaviours that may challenge. The College prides itself on being able to support all young people, including some who haven’t previously had the opportunity to access a bespoke, meaningful education at a College that prepares them for adulthood in an individualised way.
The College is now seeking to increase the provision of 52 week care placements that it offers students. We are committed to ensuring that as part of a waking day curriculum our students are learning and developing, increasing independence and life skills and building resilience, confidence and self-regulation that will support their onward journey.Successful candidates for this management role will play a key part in a larger supportive holistic team approach that sees care, education and therapeutic services working together to meet the needs of each student. Through effective communication and multi-disciplinary working each team seeks to inform each-others practice to deliver specialist residential educational services to those with additional and complex needs. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively in a supportive environment with trained, qualified professionals and to join an expanding, successful educational organisation.
As such, we are looking for experienced, positive and enthusiastic Home Managers’ that will under the guidance of Head of Care be able to lead and support their allocated staff teams through a period of positive change. Ensuring a person centred approach and high levels of engagement are delivered within the homes through staff passion and commitment to providing outstanding quality of care. Successful candidates will receive excellent professional development, and the opportunity for ongoing career progression.
The College has undergone a number of successful inspection visits and is currently rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted and ‘Good’ by CQC. As a service, Cambian Dilston College is currently working towards reshaping the way in which specialist FE supports young people into adulthood and seeks to prepare them for possible employment and/or lifelong fulfilment.
The successful candidates will be part of a larger support team line managed by Head of Care. Together, all staff work to promote a person centered and forward thinking waking day curriculum where formal education is reinforced across all areas of the students’ lives.

Salary: £33,000 - £36,300 (27 Days plus Bank Holidays)
