An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Galley team onboard our luxurious Cunard brand as a Sushi Chef on a temporary basis (28th September - 1st November 2020 - subject to change). Our Sushi Chefs are responsible for the preparation of our exceptional Japanese food provided within our 5* restaurants onboard. Our sushi chefs will manage and develop the knowledge of their team members whilst sharing their passion of their craft. With wider Cunard team by their side, the Sushi Chef work valiantly to serve our guests high quality, professionally prepared Japanese food.
Are you someone who is organised and can adapt the operation to match the number of guests dining at one time? Are you able to use your initiative with you teams to find practical solutions to every day challenges? Do you lead by example at work so that your team provide the smoothest service and the highest quality meals?
Cunard Galley require the following experience:
- Able to communicate in English, and fluently in Japanese
- Significant operational experience in high volume catering facilities such as conference and events, banqueting or large scale 4/5* star hotels
- Managerial or supervisory experience within large galley/kitchen teams
- Galley cruise ship experience would be ideal
