You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Technical Stores team, providing an efficient and effective stores service to the Technical and Deck departments. To apply for the Technical Stores Manager role you will need:
- A strong background in logistics preferably within a large, complex environment;
- Knowledge of working with technical stores parts would be advantageous;
- Experience of managing a small team;
- Excellent communication skills, with experience of negotiating with external suppliers;
- Knowledge of working with technical stores parts would be advantageous.
Experience at sea is desirable, but not essential. We believe in hiring people with the right attitudes and strengths over their competencies.
In addition to a strong logistics/inventory management background, you will have maintained appropriate stock levels and managed stock order planning and asset management. You will be comfortable liaising with supply chain regarding ordering parts and deliveries as well as senior management in order to manager your team effectively, whilst maintaining and monitoring your respective budgets.
You will be self-motivated and dependable, and always keen to take on more work whilst helping those around you. You will be a strong communicator, keen to ask questions and sharing knowledge, and able to easily adapt your style to suit the situation.
